ESPN | WHO’S IN?
The Business Challenge: McKinney is tapped to bring the “WHO’S IN?” campaign to life for the 3rd year of the College Football Playoff (CFP) on ESPN. Our one job–keep fans engaged throughout the 4 month long college football season, building up the excitement, and anticipation for a must-watch CFP National Championship.
The Creative Idea: There’s this theory that a single butterfly flapping its wings halfway across the globe can somehow alter the weather pattern in Stillwater, Oklahoma on a Saturday night in late November during a last second field goal attempt. And if this theory holds true, well then…anything by anyone at any time can have an effect on the outcome of a game. So in order to keep fans engaged throughout the season we tapped into devoted fan behavior, reminding them that they actually do have skin in the game and when it comes to WHO’S IN the College Football Playoff, everything they do matters.
